Abstract:
"In 2008, Kwang Ro Kim, the former Managing Director of LG Electronics India Pvt Limited, joined Videocon Industries Limited as the Vice-Chairman and CEO of the company. Videocon, one of the leading consumer durable and home appliance manufacturers in India was successively losing its market share to its competitors. The leadership change was aimed at consolidating Videocon's position in the Indian market. Kim who steered LG to the market leadership in India was all set to transform Videocon also. The case tries to highlight the challenges Kim would face in replicating LG's success at Videocon.
